For women in Georgia, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island
Perimenopause and Menopause Therapy
Menopause has historically been overlooked in women's health due to stigma, lack of viable research, and insufficient provider education, resulting in the majority of women in midlife experiencing symptoms that high performing women typically find confusing, embarrassing, and, for the first time, not mitigated through exercise, nutrition, or the high effort that has resulted in successes we experienced in school, work, and within our families.
I am a Menopause Specialist who assists high performing women regain their sense of self in midlife.
I am so happy that you are here!
I also offer Health Coaching to mitigate physical and emotional symptoms through assertive communication training without guilt, exercise strategies to build muscle in a sustainable way, and nutrition coaching that will support your already strong knowledge of high nutrient density food options. I don’t recommend products, sell products or group coaching. I’m here solely for your individual needs through a temporary symptom set.
I provide two tracks of care depending on your needs and the state in which you live. I offer traditional therapy in the form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (and CBTI for insomnia), Values aligned action through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and lifestyle change strategies.
I do care, and I want to help.
I sought straightforward and evidenced based interventions to improve my sleep, balance my mood, maintain muscle mass, and develop a network of Medical Professionals who could offer targeted symptom relief. It was not easy. I rolled my eyes at “cougar puberty,” questioned whether generalized advice that prescribed a weighted vest and 150 grams of protein to all women were truly a match for my needs, and I declined an invitation to the fast growing social media “we don’t care club.”
While increased exposure in the media provides increased access to symptom relief, the landscape is murky for high performing women who seek a nuanced and balanced approach to symptom relief.
I am a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance directly; I operate on an out-of-network basis with no relationship to any insurance company. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly statement called a superbill. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company to request reimbursement, which is not guaranteed.

Before Therapy
How Therapy Helps
This does not have to be a long-term relationship. We will consistently evaluate our visit frequency, and plan our ending right from the start. I see clients for weeks, months, and years. I won’t hold you hostage, and I will celebrate your wins!
03
Then, we formulate a plan to meet your goals through concrete steps. Our visits will have a purpose, and I am successful in facilitating a relationship where you will get to see me, not have to see me. I am reachable in between sessions, and you will leave each visit with a plan of action before our next meeting.
02
Our first session includes a traditional initial assessment held in a non- traditional format. We will have an organic conversation where I will obtain the history that I need to serve you best. We are not required to explore your childhood or any other topic that is antithetical to our shared goal of reducing typical midlife/perimenopause focused topics such as improving mood, improving sleep, reducing people pleasing behaviors, enhancing self efficacy, and managing caring for aging parents/our own children.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I see a Therapist who is a woman in midlife for therapy? Isn’t everyone trained the same way?
While I am confident that male Therapists, younger Therapists, and Therapists trained in traditional talk therapy offer clinical benefits for women in perimenopause or are postmenopausal, my work utilizes my behavioral, values based approach and my lived experience as a Midlife Woman. While visits are not about me, I am uniquely positioned to offer you the right care at the right time.
What is Concierge Care and why should I consider it?
Concierge Care is a model where care is private pay, and you are in control. There is no membership fee and no contract. My visit fee includes between session access at an agreed upon amount. I do not set minutes of additional support on a clock, but based on your needs. There is no membership fee and no contract. I am available for a quick question as needed, or more significant support. Care does not end, and I do not disappear when the visit ends. Life is ever-changing, and I am flexible around meeting your needs.
Would Coaching be a better fit for me?
Possibly. If you are looking for care to manage a behavioral health challenge that can be diagnosed, Therapy is the right modality (eg: anxiety, panic). If you are looking, however, for behavior change strategies to improve your health in midlife, such as weight management, sleep optimization, brain fog reduction strategies, coaching would be a strong fit. If you would like to have a consult to figure out your best path in working with me, I would be delighted.
